Work shapes us, fulfills us, and draws us closer to God and his plan for our lives. This Labor Day, we pray that everyone has access to work that is worthy of their human dignity and allows them to grow in God’s will for them.

St. Aidan was praying in his monastery when a pagan army attacked the town of Bamburgh, setting it ablaze. When he saw the blaze, he began to pray for the town. The wind abruptly shifted and sent the flames and smoke towards the invaders, saving the town.
St. Aidan, pray for us!
