Arch San Francisco 3 weeks agoSaints Peter and Paul Parish lit their bell towers in red this week in honor of Red Week – drawing attention to Christian persecution and martyrdom around the world. The week is led by the pontifical charity Aid to the Church in Need.

According to the USCCB website, it marked the first time in 12 years the USCCB invoked this particularly urgent way of speaking as a body of bishops.
