On August 24, 2018, Bishop Duca was installed as the sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Baton Rouge in St. Joseph Cathedral. Since that day, we, as a diocese, have been blessed with a shepherd who “smells like his sheep” and inspires us by his faith.

Our four seminarians at the Blessed Stanley Rother House of Formation begin their classes tonight at FranU in a new diocesan partnership. Bishop Duca has received a request from Archbishop Timothy Broglio, President of the USCCB, that our diocese join others in the United States in taking a second collection in our churches to aid victims in Gaza and the Middle East.
