Both Father Ryan High School and Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School will kick off their football seasons on Friday, Aug. 22, with new head coaches. Father Ryan takes on Overton High School at home, while JPII will be on the road against Lakeway Christian.

Father Ryan and JPII will face off in the annual Bishop’s Cup on Sept. 26.

Both Father Ryan and JPII will begin their high school football seasons with new head coaches Zach Mettenberger for the Irish and Roc Batten for the Knights.

Sacred Heart School starts the schoolyear with a new permanent principal, Julie Owens, who has deep roots in Lawrenceburg. Both her mom and grandmother attended Sacred Heart School, which is one of the Diocese of Nashville’s oldest schools.

A feeling of growth and thanksgiving was palpable in the air as the Serra Club held its annual end of summer seminarian send-off potluck dinner on Thursday, Aug. 7, at Holy Family Church in Brentwood.
