• August is traditionally devoted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

Before Jesus was conceived in the womb of the Virgin Mary, He was conceived within her heart because of her constant attention to God’s Word and Will. As her Son grew, and as God’s plan for her life unfolded, Mary always pondered all that she saw and learned from her Son in her heart (Luke 2:19, Luke 2:51).

Though we are not sinless like Mary, we can still learn to imitate her Immaculate Heart by being open and receptive to the Word of God as it comes to us through prayer, the Sacraments, and the Scriptures, and to the Will of God as it is presented to us in the demands of our everyday lives. Let us turn to Mary in all of our duties and needs and trust that she will help us to fully align our hearts to the Heart of her Son, just as her Immaculate Heart is! Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
