Following the dedication of Mary Queen of Peace (Maria Reina de la Paz) as a diocesan shrine last night at Saint Lawrence O’Toole Church in Hartford, Bishop Juan Miguel Betancourt, SEMV, returned to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The evening included a procession and enshrinement of the International Centennial Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, the Holy Rosary led by Father Alex Avendaño, imposition of the Scapular and Rosary and re-coronation of Our Lady, the Saint John Paul II Consecration Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima.
At the end of Mass, a talk was given by a Missionary of the Alliance of the Holy Family International on “The Meaning of Consecration and Reparation and the Jubilee Year,” followed by the Family Consecration of the Two Hearts and Investiture of the Brown Scapular.
