A festival celebrating the beauty of African faith, culture, and community will be held Saturday, August 23, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. The celebration will begin with a Mass at 4 p.m. that will feature African music. The festival will then follow at 5:30 p.m. in Guild Hall and will include traditional food, music, dancing, and a cultural program.
