Our Cistercian Nuns at Valley of Our Lady Monastery in Hollandale will be dedicating their oratory on Sunday, August 24! The Dedication of a Church/Oratory includes many unique acts, such as a special Prayer of Dedication and the anointing of the walls and altar with Chrism, signifying the space’s perpetual devotion to the worship of God.
The nuns will be live-streaming the Rite of Dedication Mass at 9:30 am; all are invited to tune in! (Please note that live-streaming this Mass does not fulfill your Sunday obligation unless you have received that permission from your pastor.)
