Today, September 3, we celebrate the Memorial of Saint Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church. Saint Gregory, known as “the servant of the servants of God,” was a humble shepherd who governed the Church through worldly and sacred affairs, aided the needy, fostered monastic life, and enthusiastically preached the faith. His extensive writings on moral and pastoral matters continue to guide the Church today. Let us pray for the grace to serve God and our neighbors with the same dedication and love as Saint Gregory the Great. Saint Gregory, pray for us!
