On Sept. 9, the Church celebrates St. Peter Claver, a Spanish-born saint who dedicated his life to serving the most marginalized, baptizing more than 300,000 enslaved people in South America in the 17th century. His compassion continues to inspire us today in the diocese with the Nashville chapter of the Knights of Peter Claver, which is supported by St. Vincent de Paul Church.
