• Priests of the Archdiocese of Detroit gathered on Tuesday, September 9, for a farewell Mass and celebration honoring Bishop Arturo Cepeda, recently appointed by Pope Leo XIV as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of San Antonio. After 14 years of devoted service in Detroit, Bishop Cepeda returns to the archdiocese where he first heard his call to the priesthood.

The Mass was a prayerful expression of gratitude and fraternity as the presbyterate offered thanks for his joyful witness, pastoral leadership, and faithful ministry to the people of southeast Michigan. 🙏
