This morning Archbishop Joe S. Vásquez celebrated the annual Blue Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart to pray for Galveston-Houston’s law enforcement communities.
“In celebrating this Holy Mass for you, we express our gratitude for your service to promote the common good,” Archbishop Vásquez said in his homily. “Do not be afraid to commend yourself to Him, and every day ask for divine assistance.”
Several priests and clergy who serve in Correctional Ministries around the Archdiocese also concelebrated the #BlueMass. At the end of the Mass, Archbishop Vasquez also met with officers and blessed several law enforcement vehicles.
