• Faith over Fear – Vintage painting reveals legend of St. Jerome.

It’s the Feast Day of St. Jerome!
He was born in 342 and died in 419 in Bethlehem, Judea. There is an old story that a wounded lion made its way into the monastery where St. Jerome was. All the other monks fled, but St. Jerome saw that the animal was limping. He approached the lion and saw he had a thorn imbedded into his paw. St. Jerome removed it and the lion licked the monk’s face before leaving. The legend has been the inspiration behind many paintings from artists around the world.
