• Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower, whose Little Way of love, sacrifice, and simplicity continues to inspire hearts around the world.

      Though she lived a hidden life in the Carmel of Lisieux, her trust in God and her path of spiritual childhood remind us that holiness is found not in grand acts, but in small things done with great love.

      Here are five interesting facts about St. Thérèse:

      1️⃣ St. Thérèse’s spiritual message, “The Little Way,” centers on finding holiness through small, daily actions and a profound, trusting relationship with Jesus.
      2️⃣ Her parents, Louis and Zélie Martin, are both recognized saints in the Catholic Church.
      3️⃣ In 1997, Pope John Paul II named her a Doctor of the Church, a title for theologians of exceptional wisdom and importance.
      4️⃣ Despite being a cloistered Carmelite nun, she became the Universal Patroness of the Missions due to her strong connection to missionary work.
