Today is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology. Known for his simplicity, deep love for creation, and devotion to the poor, St. Francis reminds us that all life is sacred and connected. Many parishes throughout the Diocese honor St. Francis with Blessings of the Animals such as Taunton Catholic North’s Father William Rodrigues, who is pastor of the parishes in the St. Anthony and St. Jude collaborative.
