• For the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Archbishop Christopher Coyne traveled to St. Catherine of Siena Parish, West Simsbury, to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and visit with parishioners. Father Michael Whyte, a former student of then Father Coyne, concelebrated. Knights and Dames of a local chapter of the Order of Malta also participated.

While greeting some parishioners after Mass, the archbishop was introduced to a 100-year-old parishioner, who he gave a personal blessing.

The parish provided a cake to welcome Archbishop Coyne with his coat of arms, which includes family and archdiocesan symbols and his episcopal motto – TRUST IN THE LORD.
