Prize pizza delivered!
Todd of Milwaukee agreed to be on camera during lunchtime today (Monday) as he and other guests of The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist’s Open Door Cafe savored deep dish pizza courtesy of Lou Malnati’s and the Archdiocese of Chicago.
The pizza is the prize after Archbishop Grob and Chicago’s Cardinal Cupich made a friendly wager on the outcome of a recent baseball challenge, which of course, the Milwaukee Brewers won.
Cathedral Rector Fr. Tim Kitzke greeted a team from the Brookfield shop of the well-known Chicago-based pizza parlors directing them to coveted on-street parking.
Staff and volunteers of the cafe plated the pies for the eager guests.
Although Archbishop Grob won the bet, he is still sending a bunch of brats to a Chicago food program, courtesy of Bunzel’s Meats and Catering!
