This Sunday, October 19, is WORLD MISSION SUNDAY. This special day unites all Catholics worldwide in prayer, solidarity, and support for the Church’s mission efforts.
Bishop Bambera will be the principal celebrant of the Diocesan World Mission Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Scranton at 12:15 p.m.
We are also pleased to announced that the Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Bishop of Sunyani, Ghana, will be the homilist for this Mass. Bishop Matthew has led the Diocese of Sunyani since 2003, guiding his faithful with a strong emphasis on evangelization, Catholic education and care for the poor.
A light reception will be held in the Diocesan Pastoral Center following the Mass at the Cathedral.
