Join Bishop Toups at 10 am Sunday, November 16, for Mass to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Blessed Sacrament. In 1915 Father Alexis LaPlante, SSJ, celebrated the first Mass for what was to become Blessed Sacrament in his temporary rectory on Irving Street, then moved the Mass to the Odd Fellow’s Hall. Word spread and Catholics filled the hall for Mass. He soon purchased the property on Porter Street and Blessed Sacrament is still there today, celebrating 110 years of community!
