Nov. 15th – The feast day of St. Albert the Great. He was known for his love of God and being a great teacher of the faith. He taught St. Thomas Aquinas, who because of his shy and demeanor was often called “dumb ox” by his peers, believing he was ignorant since he was not outgoing in class. When St. Albert the Great heard this, he scolded the boys, confidently telling them to be ware St. Thomas Aquinas, “will do great things and be very influential.” He was right.
“The noblest power of man is reason. The highest goal of reason is the knowledge of God.” –St. Albert the Great.
