Today, the Williston Deanery Rome Jubilee pilgrims got close to Pope Leo XIV at St. Peter’s Square at the Wednesday audience. It’s a sort of “Where’s Waldo?” photo, but notice, in the bottom right side, the hand reaching out to the pope with a white zucchetto? That’s Father Ben Wanner, a priest at St. Joseph’s Parish – Williston, ND and a spiritual director on the pilgrimage (along with Father Gregory Crane).
Also, Pope Leo XIV received the request from the Williston Deanery pilgrims to mention “Bismarck in the United States of America” at the Angelus they attended this past Sunday (see 17:09-17:14 in the video)! What a joy from the Universal Church to honor our diocese! https://www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/en/events/event.dir.html/content/vaticanevents/en/2025/11/16/angelus.html
