Parishioners of our diocese joined other nearby dioceses on a pilgrimage honoring St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American saint.
The pilgrimage sites included the National Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs in Auriesville, New York, and the St. Kateri National Shrine and Historic Site in Fonda, New York, which included the stream where she was baptized. The pilgrims remarked on how connected they felt to St. Kateri and her story throughout the pilgrimage.
