For the second year in a row, the Diocesan I.T. Department organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive for employees who work at the Chancery and Diocesan Pastoral Center.
Over the last ten days, they invited staff members to bring in food items which will be donated to the Catholic Social Services Carbondale Food Pantry this year. The Carbondale food pantry has seen a significant increase in new families over the last several months.
On Wednesday morning, all of the items were boxed up and brought to Carbondale to be distributed.
Thank you to Connie Wisdo and Joe Barna, our dedicated I.T. professionals, for once again organizing the food collection.
Last year, the collection benefited St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen in Scranton.
