It’s a hopeful time for vocations in the Diocese of Steubenville: 10 men are currently in formation to become priests for our diocese! In fact, based on our population, Steubenville now ranks fourth in the entire country for the number of seminarians per Catholic. This is a remarkable sign of God’s grace and a reflection of your prayers and encouragement. Each of these men have heard a call from God and have taken a courageous step to explore it more deeply by preparing to lay down their lives in service to Christ and to you, so that you may always have access to the sacraments. You play a vital role in sustaining and strengthening them throughout this journey. Priestly formation is a full-time commitment that takes between six and nine years, including undergraduate and graduate studies. Tuition alone can cost about $40,000 per man per year, and that doesn’t include health insurance, books, and other expenses. While the Diocesan/Parish Share Campaign helps, it does not cover everything. And because our seminarians are studying full time, they cannot support themselves financially. You can help make a difference on Giving Tuesday! If you would like to support our seminarians, visit https://diosteub.givecloud.co/seminarian-appeal
