Today, on the memorial of Saint Lucy, the virgin-martyr who gave all she owned to the poor, endured torture, and died while shining the light of Christ in darkness, we celebrate our monthly Jubilee Mass for the intention of all Religious. Saint Lucy, whose name means “light,” reminds us that true discipleship brings the Gospel’s light into every corner of the world. As we honor and pray for the religious brothers and sisters serving in the Diocese of Greensburg, we give thanks for the men and women, who like Saint Lucy, dedicate their lives to bringing Christ’s light to the world through their vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. May their witness inspire us all to live with joyful devotion and unwavering faith. Saint Lucy, pray for us!
