Jesse Tree Day 18 || Our guardian angels pray for, protect, and encourage us along our faith journey.
When the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and explained God’s plan for her life, she said yes. Her faith and trust in God outweighed her fear. This contrasts Eve in the Garden of Eden who did not trust in God’s word. We can have moments where we feel like Eve, distrusting and wanting to go our own way — in those moments (and in all moments) we need to take Mary as our model of faith. During our own moments of doubt, God has given us guardian angels to pray to and to guide us.
We all face fear, even Mary the Mother of God did, but what we do in those moments of fear is what defines our faith and strengthens our trust in God. This Advent, develop your friendship with your guardian angel.
