It is with great excitement and joyful hearts that we announce the appointment today of the 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮́𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐫𝐢́𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐳, Diocese of Brooklyn as the new Bishop of Palm Beach, succeeding Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito, who has served 22 years as our chief shepherd.
The appointment by our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, was communicated by Cardinal Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States.
All are invited to attend a press conference at 11 a.m. today in the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola Family Life Center.
