From the outside, great love doesn’t always look great.
Today, our servant King enters Jerusalem on a humble donkey. Soon, our servant King will suffer and die for us on Good Friday.
In today’s Gospel, we find the disciples bickering among themselves about “which of them should be regarded as the greatest” (Luke 22:24).
Take a moment with Jesus’ response: “Let the greatest among you be as the youngest, and the leader as the servant” (Luke 22:26).
As we walk with our Lord toward Calvary, let’s examine our hearts: will we choose to love — earnestly and simply, without counting the cost? Will we take up our cross for our neighbor?
