Another special day and important milestone for our local church, Archbishop Shawn McKnight took possession of the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle.

This special Mass started with the ritual of knocking on the cathedral door with a golden hammer, representing the Lord knocking on the door of his Church, inviting us to open our hearts to him.

Later, Archbishop McKnight took a seat on the cathedra, the bishop’s chair, which symbolizes his place as our shepherd, spiritual father, and teacher.
