Detroit faithful braved the heat on Sunday, June 22, for a Corpus Christi procession down Woodward Avenue following Mass with Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
In his homily, Archbishop Weisenburger reflected on the “glory of the Eucharist” and made a special shout-out to several first communicants who attended the Mass from parishes across the Archdiocese of Detroit.
“Your joy at the reception of Christ truly present in the Eucharist renews my joy and my hope,” Archbishop Weisenburger said.
