TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME
The Hartford Yard Goats celebrated Faith & Family Day this evening, where they “welcome churches and synagogues from across Connecticut, and host a special pre-game panel on faith,” and the Archdiocese of Hartford was represented well, starting with our chief shepherd, Archbishop Christopher Coyne, and Mrs. Valerie Mara, Superintendent of Archdiocese of Hartford Catholic Schools.
Julian Olivier, from East Catholic High School in Manchester, and Luca Smeriglio, from St. Bridget School, Cheshire, got to throw out ceremonial first pitches. And Faith Formation students from Our Lady Queen of Angels, Meriden, got to sing America the Beautiful.
