Congratulations, Deacon Ryan Budd and Deacon Peter Stetson! The transitional deacons were ordained by Bishop Edward M. Lohse at Holy Rosary Church, Steubenville, June 28, the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Bishop Lohse celebrated the Mass and was assisted at the altar by the deacons. Concelebrants of the Mass included Auxiliary Bishop Christopher R. Cooke of Philadelphia; Father Charles Fox, vice rector of Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Detroit; and diocesan priests. Deacons at the Mass welcomed the newly ordained deacons into the fraternity of the diaconate.
