Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, pillars of the Church. We ask the intercession of Saint Peter, the Rock who was foremost in confessing the faith and established the early Church from a remnant of Israel, and Saint Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles and outstanding preacher, both of whom proclaimed the faith through their very lives. Each in their own way, they gathered together the one family of Christ, and together share the crown of martyrdom. May we be inspired by their courage and witness to Christ.
