Today on the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Pope Leo XIV presented Archbishop Richard Henning with the pallium, placing it on his shoulders.
The pallium, made from wool, is worn on the shoulders of archbishops, representing their pastoral care. It is also a symbol of the unity of the archbishops and the Holy Father.
On this solemnity where we remember two of the Apostles, let us pray for our own successor of the Apostles – Archbishop Henning – and for all the successors of the Apostles that they may lead their flocks to our Lord Jesus Christ. 🙏
