1,700 youth from throughout the South East of the United States, plus their chaperones attended Steubenville Florida Youth Conference in Orlando, FL.
At the beginning of the conference the teens from St. Sebastian Catholic Church, St Jude Catholic Church, Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Peter Catholic Church and St. Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart, FL were asked to be fully present to each other, dive deep and to disconnect from their phones.
Each day there was Mass, various talks, great music, Eucharistic Adoration, meetings in small groups and all-day opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Sr. Jadwiga Drapala of Palm Beach Vocations said, “It was a blessing to be present, to minister to the teens and to witness their transformation, they were opening up to Christ and radiated joy and peace like flowers opening up to the warmth of sun.”
