Today is the feast day of Thomas the Apostle. His most famous encounter with Jesus was when he doubted Jesus’ resurrection. “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nail marks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe” (John 20:25). This is where we get the popular phrase, “Doubting Thomas.”
It is said that after Pentecost, Thomas spread the Gospel to south India.
St. Thomas is known as the patron of architects, India and Pakistan. St. Thomas, pray for us!
