Today we honor Saint Augustine Zhao Rong. He was once a soldier who escorted a bishop to his execution. Moved by the bishop’s witness, he converted, was baptized, and later ordained a priest. He was martyred in 1815. We also remember the 120 Chinese martyrs who gave their lives for the faith between 1648 and 1930.
