Shoutout to St. Paul the Apostle – Bangor for sending these pictures from their recent Vacation Bible School!
Catholic Summer Camp (aka Vacation Bible School – VBS) was held June 23-27 at St. Joseph Church in Brewer. Many thanks to the outpouring of generosity from the parish community – donations of gift cards, refreshments, scholarship funds, and special prayers. Fifty-six children ages 4-10 participated in CatChat’s “Great Journey with Jesus Through the Church Year” thanks to the exceptional leadership of 30 youth staff and 20 adult mentors.
Each day, the campers looked forward to the “Satchel Surprise,” an item having to do with the Liturgical Season of the day. The second photo (with the lamb) was taken during the day about the Easter season, and the campers got to meet Cove the Lamb, brought in by a parishioner from their family farm.
