Jesus shed his blood for us on the cross, and by his blood we are redeemed. It is through this sacrifice that we are brought into communion with God.
At every Mass, we celebrate the Eucharist and commemorate Jesus’ sacrifice as payment for our sins. Through the gift of the Eucharist, we can receive Jesus…body, blood, soul, and divinity through the bread and wine at Mass.
May we take this month to reflect on the sacrifice on the cross that frees us from sin and death.
