St. Mary Magdalene was a devout follower of Jesus.
She witnessed His death and burial, and she met the risen Lord outside of the tomb three days later. She told Jesus’ disciples, “I have seen the Lord!” Patron saint of penitents, she is also known as the “apostle of the apostles.”
