Jesus called St. James and his brother, John the Evangelist, as they worked with their father on a fishing boat in the Sea of Galilee.
St. James was the first of the apostles to be martyred. James was a witness to the Transfiguration and the agony in the garden.
He is the patron saint of laborers and those with arthritis. #FeastDay
