Dio CheyenneOn the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, we reflect on our Blessed Mother’s humble and faithful “yes” to God’s plan. The angel Gabriel’s message brought both wonder and uncertainty, yet Mary responded with trust: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). Her fiat opened the way for the Incarnation, for the second person of the Holy Trinity to dwell among us. Today, we are invited to echo Mary’s faith, surrendering to God’s will with confidence that nothing is impossible for Him. We trust, that in some mysterious way, when we follow our Mother’s example, Immanuel, will once again be born into the world and dwell among us.
