Chris Pujol and our Diocesan pilgrims celebrated Mass today with the Missionaries of Mercy; nearly 500 priests gathered in Rome this weekend from countries on every continent including Italy, the United States, Poland, Brazil, Spain, France, Mexico, Germany, Slovakia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Colombia, and India for a special jubilee event, a World Meeting of Missionaries of Mercy. The celebration of Mass, presided over by Archbishop Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, was held at the Basilica of Sant’Andrea della Valle. Missionaries of Mercy have been commissioned as preachers to help the faithful—priests included– regain an appreciation for how God’s boundless mercy is dispensed in the confessional.
