Jesus’ passion. Mary’s sorrow. A powerful expression of music will be free and open to the public in Greensburg as we enter Holy Week 2025. Bishop Larry J. Kulick invites the faithful to a special evening of music and reflection at the Jubilee Concert of Hope, Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. The concert will feature the Diocesan Choir of Greensburg, the Westmoreland Choral Society and the Diocesan Festival Orchestra. the world premiere of the “Stabat Mater,” a moving new composition by Nancy Galbraith, Professor of Composition at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music. The second piece of music is the “Passion According to Saint Matthew” is also by Nancy Galbraith. The work invites the listener to reflect deeply on the Passion of Jesus Christ.
