Dio BismarckThe rite of election took place at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit on the first Sunday of Lent, March 9. The catechumens were chosen by Christ and the Church, and accepted by Bishop Kagan, to become “the elect,” and then entered the period of purification and enlightenment, with more intense preparation to receive baptism, confirmation and the Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
