Hail Mary, full of grace! Today we celebrate the fiat of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For the Blessed Mother, it was nothing as simple as just saying “yes,” rather her acceptance of the will of God meant that she agreed to enter into His suffering, death, and resurrection. Let the obedience of the Virgin Mary strengthen us during Lent as we fight against our own temptations and cling to the desire to be closer to Christ.
Blessed Virgin, intercede on our behalf, let us accept the will of God as you did!
