Arch Kansas City in KansasIt is with great joy that we announce, this morning, the Holy Father, Pope Francis, accepted the resignation of Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann and announced the appointment of Bishop Shawn McKnight, S.Th.D. as the Archbishop-designate of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Archbishop-designate McKnight will serve as the fifth Archbishop and 12th Bishop of our archdiocese.
Currently serving the Diocese of Jefferson City, Missouri, Archbishop-designate McKnight brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and dedication to our community.
