Such were among the answers schoolchildren offered up when asked what they were thankful to God for during the #Penance Service at Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Mays Landing earlier this week.
About 20 priests from across the Diocese visited the parish to hear confessions from faithful of all ages and take part in Eucharistic Adoration led by Father John March, parish pastor.
Penance services such as this have been held in parishes the past weeks as #Lent is a time for penance in anticipation and preparation of #Easter.
