“In the beginning, the earth was a formless void” (Genesis 1: 2), yet in his boundless love, God created the heavens and the earth. He also created man, placing him in the Garden of Eden to till and keep it (Genesis 2:15).
During the Holy Saturday Mass, we will hear this first reading of Genesis. Listen closely to His Word, and, during this reading, ask God how you can better till the land and keep it.
Consider on Easter Monday, journaling the ways in which you were inspired by the Word throughout the Holy Saturday Mass. What are ways you can recommit to your baptismal call as stewards of Creation?
