Arch BostonThe disciples spent the day in darkness and confusion, grieving Jesus’s death. But tonight, light breaks through the darkness as we celebrate Christ rising from the underworld. At the beginning of the Easter Vigil, the priest prepares the Paschal Candle, and as he lights it says, “May the light of Christ rising in glory dispel the darkness of our hearts and minds.” It is through his Resurrection that Jesus gives us new life and dispels the darkness in which we are living!
Christ is risen!
